| Trial The patient was delighted with his surgical results at 6 months and could work and sleep normally. His physical examination showed a well healed 2 ½ inch deltoid splitting incision without tenderness. His active range of motion for the right shoulder was forward flexion 150°, extension 50°, abduction 130°, adduction 40°, external rotation 50°, and internal rotation 60°. His active range of motion on the left was forward flexion 170°, extension 50°, abduction 160°, adduction 50°, external rotation 80°, and internal rotation 80°. The AC joint had no tenderness or crepitation and the shoulder did not have muscle atrophy. Grip strength was 55, 56, 57 kilograms on the right and 54, 54, 53 on the left. |
